Therapies
In each session I invite you to explore and deepen into your natural wisdom allowing your body to heal and transform with my skill, support and facilitation. We will work collaboratively to address challenging life experiences, stress, pain, constriction or simply expand on your daily practices of deep inquiry for change. I offer in-person, phone or online sessions in several formats, each addressing healing, transformation and presence with the new possibilities you envision for yourself like ways of feeling, moving, or thinking.
My work is informed by over 30 years of practice in Craniosacral Therapy (BCST), Somatic Experiencing (SE), manual therapies (MT), Biodynamic Energy Healing (BEH) and the Realization Process. I utilize all of these modalities as a framework to support resilience and coherence in each session. An in-person session may be a blend of these techniques or just a single modality depending on the needs and goals of each person. These modalities (SE, BEH, and meditation) easily lend themselves to working online. Many of my in-person clients have found the move to the digital platform to be seamless during the days of COVID-19. All of my work is experiential and relational, utilizing inherent health within the body/mind and nervous system as powerful resources to address your goals.
I am committed to offering a nurturing and inclusive space for all people seeking support, tools, and transformation. All are welcome. This includes all colors, sexes, gender identities, sexual orientations, religions, national origins, body types, abilities, ages, and economic status. Inevitably, I will make mistakes, but, I am committed to our ongoing and organic processes of enacting inclusion and sustainability for all.

Somatic Experiencing
SE is a body-oriented approach to healing trauma and other stress related disorders. Like other somatic approaches, with SE the body comes first when dealing with the problematic - and often physical - symptoms of trauma. We look at the sensations that underlie our feelings, and uncover our habitual behavior patterns connected to these feelings. Sometimes done seated, sometimes lying on a treatment table. We work through skillful guided conversation and, when needed, touch to gently and slowly release these patterns. The focus is to restore vitality and healthy energy, which has been bound up in trauma, through greater resiliency and capacity within the nervous system.
Areas of specialization include adults abused as children, sexual assault, complex medical issues and syndromes, and developmental trauma (including pre & perinatal).

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) is a light, slow and gentle hands-on modality that originates from the osteopathic tradition. In this approach to Craniosacral Therapy, the body expresses subtle motions of multi-layered organization from the dense to the subtle. These subtle motions are the expression of the active principle of health underpinning our physiology, integrating all cellular and tissue form and function. You are already familiar with some of our rhythmic pulsing - breath and heart beat. We are never completely still. Interacting with these subtle rhythms is fundamental to Craniosacral Biodynamics.
Through skilled touch, embodied presence, deep stillness and a working knowledge of anatomy, physiology and embryological development, I facilitate intrinsic change, reorganization and balance . . . a fuller expression of health.

What to Expect in a BCST Treatment
Clients are fully clothed, usually lying face up, on a comfortable treatment table. During the session I will gently make contact with parts of the body, listening to or palpating subtle rhythms, and assisting the body's natural movements toward resolution and health in areas of tension, congestion or restriction. Within the biodynamic approach there is no force applied or manipulation of tissues.
Throughout a session, clients may experience patterns of sensation as pain, stress and tension. As this occurs, I assist the client in staying present with the breath and bodily sensations as we collaborate to support resolution, release and integration. An important aspect of BCST sessions is the fostering of the client's ability to follow their own embodied experience (physical sensations, feelings, thoughts and images as they arise). These skills of open hearted awareness and curiosity easily translate into daily use.
BCST is used to address many issues affecting health. In my general practice I work with a wide spectrum of physical dysfunctions, neurological and musculoskeletal problems, chronic pain syndromes, chronic illnesses, traumas, as well as general health and well-being.
Often after a series of treatments, clients may experience a resolution of the issue they came to address and the added bonus of having more energy and resiliency in their body. Clients may also discover new ways of relating to themselves. Many people report feeling less stressed, calmer and more relaxed as a result of treatment.

Biodynamic Energy Healing
My practice of Biodynamic Energy Healing has developed by synthesizing all my professional studies to date, especially the subtle energy modalities of Esoteric Healing, Shamanism and Reiki. I'm a bit of an anatomy nerd and I dabble in quantum physics by following the research. These past few decades the findings have been quite remarkable in both fields and have had a huge impact on how I work and I live my life. For instance, our brain and nervous system is more malleable than was previously believed. We can rewire our brain and nervous system through the reality of neuroplasticity. Hence, the effectiveness of Somatic Experiencing and Craniosacral Biodynamics modalities described above.
Current research into the mysteries of physics has clarified a deeper understanding of the quantum nature of our universe, ourselves and the role of consciousness as the underlying organizing principle. With this understanding quantum physics is inviting us into new ways of being and living.
Human beings are networks of consciousness - of complex energy fields (life force, chi, or prana) both around and within us. This life energy weaves the fabric of our beings, creating the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual dimensions in life. The physical body is the densest component of these interactive energy fields. Each of these fields connects to our physical cellular structure through a complex network of energy threads and specialized centers commonly referred to as chakras. The chakras translate the effects of our emotional, mental and spiritual dimensions into biological manifestations via our unique physiology.
Sessions may be in-person or remote and offer a comprehensive model of interacting with your human energy system. In this holistic approach, symptoms are perceived as an energetic imbalance. Our inherent nature is to move toward health. So together we will work to address the physical. emotional and psycho-spiritual issues bringing you to work with me so that you may live your life to your full quantum potential unhindered by low energy, anxiety, chronic pain or recurring illness.
