The Way It Is
There’s a thread you follow. It goes among things that change. But it doesn’t change. People wonder about what you are pursuing. You have to explain about the thread. But it is hard for others to see. While you hold it you can’t get lost. Tragedies happen; people get hurt or die; and you suffer and get old. Nothing you do can stop time’s unfolding. You don’t ever let go of the thread. ~ William Stafford |
WelcomeI’ve supported individuals on their journeys toward healing, integration, and embodied presence for more than three decades. I am registered as a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist, a New York State licensed massage therapist, and a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner. My work bridges body, mind, and spirit, grounded in the belief that we are multidimensional beings—deeply connected to each other, to the earth, and to something greater than ourselves.
Over the years, I’ve drawn from a wide spectrum of training in manual & touch therapies, trauma healing, energy medicine, and meditative practices. I’m also certified as a teacher of the Realization Process and a practitioner of Reiki and Esoteric Healing. My ongoing studies in pre and perinatal healing, developmental trauma, and nervous system regulation continue to shape how I listen, how I offer presence, and how I hold space for transformation. My path into the healing arts began unexpectedly—with an injury before my second marathon. In search of recovery, I received a series of therapeutic massages that not only restored my body but awakened a deeper part of me that had long been quiet. At the time, I was working in the technology sector, feeling unfulfilled and out of alignment with myself. Six months later, I enrolled in massage school. What began as physical repair became the first step in a life rooted in creativity, connection, and meaning. Along the way, I’ve committed myself to my own healing from early developmental trauma. With time, tenderness, and trust, I’ve turned toward the places in me that once went silent for safety—those parts shaped by abuse, absence, confusion, or unmet needs. This ongoing inner work is not separate from my clinical practice—it is the living ground from which I offer care. I know that to accompany others through their healing, I must continue walking my own path with honesty, compassion, and devotion. Today, my practice has evolved into a nuanced, integrative offering that supports others through touch, somatic skills, and nervous system regulation—meeting each person where they are and honoring the pace of their unfolding. I also assist in professional trainings in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, Somatic Touch Skills for Trauma Therapists and Somatic Experiencing, mentoring practitioners as they learn new skills to attune, hold space, and support change towards increased expressions of health. This work is not separate from how I live. Self-care, movement, inner work, and spiritual connection are woven into my daily life. Whether I’m doing a movement practice, meditating, or cooking a nourishing meal, I return again and again to the small rituals that bring me back to center. Yes, I live in NYC so I have to be intentional with my connections to earth and nature. I love my plants and the parks near my home. I believe that when we care for ourselves with depth and devotion, we ripple something essential into the wider world. In my view, individual well-being and planetary well-being are inseparable—and our greatest task is to remember the wholeness that has always been within us. All are welcome. This include all colors, sexes, gender identities, sexual orientations, religions, national origins, body types, abilities, ages and economic status. Inevitably, I will make mistakes, but I am committed to our ongoing and organic processes of enacting inclusion and sustainability for all. I identify as a white, non-binary, genderqueer and my pronouns are they/them.
